Nemetschek Group, a leading AEC/O software provider, has unveiled a preview of AI Assistant, its first AI-agent-based technology for Archicad

Introduced at BAU 2025 in Munich, Germany, the AI Assistant aims to streamline creative exploration in BIM architecture while saving time and ensuring quality and compliance.

Nemetschek had announced last year that from 2025, an AI layer would be integrated in all of its BIM architecture, engineering, construction, management and operations solutions.

Design and refine BIM architecture

The AI Assistant will be embedded directly into Archicad as an integrated AI chatbot. It will feature product knowledge, industry insights, BIM model queries and AI Visualizer integration. Users will be able to design and refine projects through a streamlined chat interface.

It will also be available in BIMx, Graphisoft’s award-winning presentation and coordination app for desktops, mobile devices and the internet. Using a mobile phone, iPad or Apple Vision Pro, users can quickly and easily navigate a project away from the office or on the construction site.

“The AI Assistant is our first AI agent-based technology, and it builds on the AI layer announced in October 2024,” said Julian Geiger, VP, head of ai product and transformation at the Nemetschek Group.

“The AI Assistant delivers a consistent and cohesive user experience across our brands, empowering users to enhance creativity and productivity with smarter tools while seamlessly transitioning between brands through a familiar interface.”

“We’re proud to share that Graphisoft was not only the first to implement this experimental technology in Archicad but also played a pivotal role in its development,” said Márton Kiss, chief product officer at Graphisoft.

“This dual role highlights our dedication to delivering cutting-edge tools to our users that are shaping the future of the AEC industry.”

Rollout in 2025

The AI Assistant will be available for trial as part of Graphisoft’s public Technology Preview later this year. An official launch is scheduled for the fall.

Nemetschek will expand the AI Assistant to other group brands in 2025 and beyond, reinforcing its commitment to empowering architects, engineers, contractors and other professionals in the AEC/O industry.
