Graitec, the global developer of manufacturing and AEC software, has announced the acquisition of US-based Ideate Software.
Ideate offers BIM plugins for Autodesk Revit, as well as the scripting solution Ideate Automation, which enables Revit users to run time-intensive Revit tasks in the background.
Graitec said the strategic acquisition signifies its move towards global leadership in the provision of manufacturing and AEC software, closely integrating with the Autodesk ecosystem.
As one of the largest Autodesk partners worldwide, Graitec has over 150 staff dedicated to research and development and, supported by the investment fund Seven2, is set to capitalise on synergies with Ideate Software with enhanced offerings and global expansion.
